Caddo Archeological Conference
Four day conference with papers on Caddoan Archaeology of AR, OK, TX & LA. Cultural heritage group of the Caddo Nation came and demonstrated traditional Caddo dancing.

Responsibilities included overseeing student volunteers and coordinating all logistical requirements. Participation in this conference allowed me to interact with many of the leading scholars in the field of southeastern Native American studies and to develop a further understanding of the dynamic viewpoints surrounding the SECC.

Current Archaeological Prospection Advances for Non-destructive Investigations in the 21st Century
Five day workshop focusing on lecture and hands on application of several geophysical surveying methods and associated data processing.

Volunteer, Southeastern Ceremonial Complex Conference (SECC)
Worked with administrative group to facilitate logistics of the five-day conference. Duties primarily included transportation requirements to and from conference facility, around San Marcos, and to and from the airport. Participation in this conference allowed me to interact with many of the leading scholars in the field of southeastern Native American studies and to develop a further understanding of the dynamic viewpoints surrounding the SECC.

Maya Hieroglyphic Writing Workshop
Two day workshop explaining the basics of Maya writing and practical experience in reading hieroglyphic texts. Comprised of reading simple texts and understanding methods by which more difficult inscriptions are analyzed and understood.

Nightengale Archaeological Center at Kingsland
Window on the Past Archaeology Workshop
Eighteen hour workshop with a focus on integrating archaeology in the educational curriculum. Contained two lecture days and one lab day doing pit tests at an LCRA managed Pre-Historic site. Pit tests were done to sample range of occupation from exposed excavation pit.
